Job Opening:- Environmental Engineer
Job Description:-
Basic Function and Scope :
Supervises and coordinates the Site Environmental issues which include company's Environment protection strategies, Site Environment plan, and the implementation of the environmental issues included in the HSSE management system. The holder of this position works according to approved strategies, policies and professional standards and procedures.
Tasks and Duties:
a. Responsible for implementation of Environmental Monitoring programs including the continuous up dating of compliance requirements.
b. Responsible for Waste Management Strategy and Assurance.
c. Responsible for conducting Environmental Risk Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment.
d. Responsible for providing specialist support on environmental management system and ISO14001.
e. Responsible for tracking all discharges and emissions to environment and for analyzing environmental performance against legal requirements.
f. Support processes to systematically manage the impact of the petroleum operations activities on the environment and integrate into the local Operating Management System.
g. Responsible for providing compliance and environmental advises on different environmental subjects.
h. Participate into investigating environmental incidents, and assure the quality of this incident investigation in petroleum operations.
i. Responsible for External and Internal Environmental reporting in line with Legal and client requirements relating to the work activities and scope of the team.
Minimum Requirements:
a. B.Sc. Degree in Engineering or above (in a related discipline preferred).
b. Minimum 3 years experience in the field of environment protection.
c. Communication and leadership skills in working with other site departments and other organizations and outside regulatory agencies and industry bodies.
d. Ability to travel to field locations on a frequent basis is required.
e. Fluency in English and Good knowledge of computer software applications
